Entitlement oil and gas production outside Norway accounted for 17% of our total output, which averaged 1.751 mmboe per day in 2008.
As of 31 December 2008, we had proved reserves of 2201 mmbbl of oil and 537.8 bcm (equivalent to 19.0 tcf) of natural gas, corresponding to aggregate proved reserves of 5584 mmboe.

We are contributing to the development of new energy resources, have ongoing activities in the fields of wind power and biofuels and are at the forefront in implementing technologies for carbon capture and storage (CCS).
In further developing our international business, we intend to utilise our core expertise in areas such as deep waters, heavy oil, harsh environments and gas value chains in order to exploit new opportunities and execute high quality projects.
