At year end 2008 and 2007, we had approximately 29,500 permanent employees.

In 2008 approximately 39% of our employees worked outside Norway, and 42% of the workforce and 38% of managers are from countries other than Norway. In 2007 approximately 37% of our employees worked outside Norway.

StatoilHydro's payroll expenses in 2008 in the form of wages, pensions and other social contributions amounted to NOK 27 billion. In 2007, payroll expenses in the form of wages, pensions and other social contributions amounted to NOK 28 billion.

In addition, StatoilHydro paid NOK 2.56 billion in employer's national insurance contributions.
