We attract and select the right people
Since 1998 we have been rated the employer of choice for technical talents in Norway, and the number one employer for business students since 2002. In 2008, we received applications from 19,274 potential employees in 105 countries.
Of all applicants for vacant positions, 75% are non-Norwegian and 24% are women. We also registered more than 44,800 CVs from 133 countries in our Talent Database. According to our Global Reputation Research Programme, our attractiveness is largely based on a very high level of trust and a strong emotional affinity.
Of the 1,342 people we recruited to StatoilHydro ASA in 2008, 13% were non-Norwegian and 28% were women. Our selection process is developed to ensure timeliness, equal opportunities and transparency for all applicants. The selection of managers is based on management skills, the ability to deliver results and live our values, and on diversity within the company. Our international Graduate Programme focuses on extensive training to accelerate development from high potential to high performance and should also strengthen our position in the talent market. Our graduate recruitment process has simultaneously expanded into an all-year operation. This will provide graduates with the flexibility to apply, take assessments and begin according to their own agenda.
