The International Crisis Group (ICG) is generally recognised as the world's leading independent, non-partisan, source of analysis and advice on the prevention and resolution of deadly conflict.

StatoilHydro began financially supporting the ICG in 2007, and in 2008 we become a member of the ICG President's Council.

This gives us the opportunity to participate as an observer at the half-yearly Board Meetings as well as the option to draw upon the ICG staff for discussion of topics of mutual interest.
 
In 2008 we arranged an internal round-table conference on a Latin American country, at which the ICG Programme Director was a keynote speaker and facilitator. In 2008 our financial contribution was $100,000.
