On the Grand Bahama Island in the Bahamas Statoil owns the South Riding Point storage and transhipment terminal.

The terminal includes oil storage and transhipment facilities as well as a 50% interest in the Freepoint Tug and Towing Service tug boat business.

South Riding Point is a full member of the Clean Caribbean America (CCA) cooperative. CCA is a clean seas organisation covering the Caribbean Sea and provides equipment and expertise to its member companies for handling any pollution incidents at sea. In addition, South Riding Point has its own oil spill response equipment and expertise located at the terminal.

Statoil South Riding Point is one of the main workplaces on Grand Bahamas. With our strategic position, the SSRP terminal will strengthen Statoil's market and trading position in North America.
