Statoil has been present in the Faroe Islands since 2000. Currently Statoil has four operatorships.
In license 006 Statoil has a 35% interest together with ExxonMobil (49%), OMV (15%) and Atlantic Petroleum (1%).
In license 008, Statoil is operator with 35% equity, DONG 30% and OMV 30%.
Statoil has a 35% interest in license 011 together with ExxonMobil (50%) and OMV (15%).
In license 016 Statoil is operator with 30% equity, DONG 30%, ExxonMobil 26%, OMV 10% and Atlantic Petroleum 4%.
In 2014 the plan is to drill two wells offshore the Faroe Islands, in licenses 006 and 008.
