A key priority for Statoil at this point is to prepare for REACH registration in 2010, which requires work in both external consortia with other manufacturers and internal preparations. Statoil have been actively engaged for several years in concawe.
The registration of a chemical substance under REACH is a complex process, requiring significant effort on the part of manufacturers and importers, therefore Statoil continue the collaboration with our customers and suppliers to gather all of the required information on the products we sell and those we buy. During 2010 Statoil will work to ensure compliance with the registration requirements and to produce safety reports and exposure scenarios for products to which this applies.
