In addition to conventional shipping operations, Statoil utilises state-of-the-art shuttle tankers under contract from first-class owners.

These carry crude volumes directly from oil fields on the Norwegian continental shelf to the group’s refineries at Mongstad and Kalundborg, or to third-party customers.

All shipping activities in Statoil are performed with a heavy focus on health, safety and environmental protection, and in accordance with the group’s ethical guidelines.

Statoil has an active programme of vessel pre-inspection and approval, with such work being carried out on a regular basis worldwide.

Chartering activities are carried out from the office in Stavanger, and from the trading offices located in Stamford, Singapore and London.
