Project under development
The gas and condensate field Marulk was proven in 1992 and delineated in 2007/2008. The field is located roughly 30km southwest of Norne at a depth of around 370 metres. The plan for development and operation was approved in July 2010 and the field is scheduled to come on stream in the second quarter of 2012.
The Marulk development consists of a well template with two gas production wells. The plan is to produce the gas by means of pressure relief and the well stream will be transported via a 30 km long pipeline to the Norne FPSO for processing. The control cable and pipeline for the transport of hydraulic fluid and chemicals from the Norne FPSO to Marulk will take place via the templates on the Alve field.
The processed gas will be exported in the Åsgard Transport System to Kårstø and on to the European continent, while the condensate will be delivered for sale via the Norne FPSO’s oil export facilities.
