The Skarv Unit area is located in the Norwegian Sea, approximately 35 kilometers south-west of the Norne field.
The field has been developed with a production and storage ship tied to subsea templates. 15 development wells, consisting of 5 gas producers, 6 oil producers, and 4 gas injectors have been drilled and completed. Produced oil is offloaded to shuttle tankers on the field.
An 80 kilometers long spur gas pipeline connects Skarv to Åsgard Transport System and the gas is sent to processing at Kårstø in Rogaland, Norway. An additional gas producer was drilled and completed in the Snadd discovery as a part of the initial drilling campaign. A key element in the future development of the field is to progress discovered resources in Snadd for future tie in.
The Skarv field started production on 31 December 2012.
