A new gas pipeline for transport of natural gas from Kollsnes to Mongstad has been constructed.
The thermal power plant at Mongstad will have energy needs equivalent to about 700 million standard cubic meters of gas annually at full operation.
Of this, it is expected that as much as 500 million cubic meters will be imported as natural gas through the new pipeline from Kollsnes, while the remainder will be supplied by the refinery itself.
