Statoil keeps a liaison office in Brussels in order to represent the company’s interests vis-à-vis the institutions of the European Union, engage the head office on identifying Europe-wide business issues, keep the company informed and up to date with regard to EU policy initiatives and provide advice with regard to how to influence European legislation.

Natural gas activities

The natural gas office in Brussels supports the sales and marketing of natural gas by Statoil ASA in the Benelux countries, France and Germany and is following up the regulatory developments with respect to energy and environment at EU and member state level.

Statoil Coordination Center

The Statoil Coordination Center in Mechelen acts as center of competence within the Statoil group, developing and performing shared services. 

Statoil global indirect tax sector

The global indirect tax sector provides indirect tax services to all business areas in Statoil. Service deliveries include indirect tax reporting services, advisory on the different indirect taxes in the world, and advisory on the impact of indirect taxes on Statoil’s IT systems.
